Hello and welcome to our webpage! We recently learned all about fractions (a part to a whole) and now we have begun to
learn about measurement using centimeters and inches. We have also been learning about non-standard measurements, too.
We are also enjoying the use of our new Ipad cart that allows us to learn in a fun, relaxed way. We play math games and find
places here in McGregor. We have actually learned how to do a "virtual" walk down the streets of our town to find our homes!
Two weeks ago we researched Native American tribes. Then we decided to write our Treasure Books about our Amazing Space.
We looked up constellations, planets, comets, and meteors, to name a few. We enjoy this kind of learning in our classroom.
We are thankful to have such technology that enables us to learn in a much more exciting way than just reading books and
doing worksheets! We are fortunate to live in a school district that values modern technology and will do what it takes to
extend that privilege to our students!
We will have one more Six Weeks to learn before our class becomes Big Third Graders!
Let's end this school STRONG and READY to move on to the next level of learning!!!!!
Thank you for all you have already done and for all you are going to do in the future. We all need your support.
There is no greater asset to a teacher than parents who are willing to work towards one unified goal---your child's success in every area of
learning and life.
Sincerely,
Lorraine Willey
